Sharon O. Small focuses her practice on counseling pharmaceutical, medical device, and biotechnology companies on regulatory and compliance issues related to the sales, marketing, and reimbursement of their products.  Drawing upon her prior in-house experience at Merck  & Co., Ms. Small provides legal advice and support for all commercial business units, including sales, marketing, managed markets, manufacturing and supply, clinical research, and medical affairs.

Ms. Small also drafts and negotiates commercial and government contracts, including discount and rebate agreements with PBMs, GPOs, health plans, retail pharmacies, distributors, and other healthcare entities. She supports clients' compliance initiatives by developing internal policies and procedures and providing training to commercial and medical affairs teams. In addition, she handles manufacturing, supply, and research collaboration agreements as well as clinical trial agreements, consulting, and other fee-for-service agreements common in the life sciences industry.

Ms. Small earned her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she served on the Moot Court Team. Upon graduation, she clerked for the Honorable Clifford Scott Green of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. She graduated magna cum laude from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a  Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. Ms. Small also earned a Certificate in Health Care Compliance from Seton Hall Law School.

She is the Vice Chair of Membership for the Life Sciences Practice Group of the American Health Lawyers Association and she is also very involved in the Garden State Bar Association and the National Bar Association. Committed to pro bono service, Ms. Small volunteers her time with Legal Services of North West Jersey in the Landlord Tenant Program, the Jersey Battered Women's Shelter Program in Morris County and serves on the New Jersey State Bar Association Pro Bono Committee.
