Christopher van Elk has represented corporations, hedge funds, and private equity funds in variety of corporate, bankruptcy, securities, and contract matters. His experience includes global financing transactions, equity and convertible note investments in public and private companies, and negotiation of asset acquisitions and dispositions in bankruptcy proceedings and otherwise. He has handled matters involving the representation of debtors, creditors committees, DIP lenders, and individual creditors. His experience also includes initial public offerings and a variety of merger transactions involving various industries including the auto industry. Mr. van Elk has negotiated and drafted agreements, bankruptcy pleadings and SEC filings as well as conducted due diligence. He has managed closing the sale of fund assets, including negotiating resolution of last-minute disputes.
