Matthew Zapadka is an associate of Porzio, Bromberg & Newman in the firm's Intellectual Property department. He concentrates his practice in various areas of Intellectual Property Law including, litigation, drafting and reviewing of patent applications, and patent validity analysis to counsel clients on business acquisitions.
Mr. Zapadka has prosecuted patents in business methods, chemical processes, biosynthesis, and electrical devices. He also counsels clients with potential infringement actions, intellectual property enforcement, and licensing opportunities. Additionally, Mr. Zapadka represents clients in post-issuance proceedings including inter-partes reviews at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Prior to joining Porzio, Mr. Zapadka served as a Patent Agent for a law firm, a Process Engineer for a manufacturing company, and as a Patent Examiner for The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
