Porzio Awards $5000 Diversity Scholarship and Summer Associate Position to Law Student

2/5/2013 | News Porzio, Bromberg & Newman, P.C. (“Porzio”), recently awarded its $5000 annual diversity scholarship and a paid summer associate position to Omar Daniel Arnouk a first-year law student attending Boston College Law School in Newton, Massachusetts. The scholarship supports the development of a first-year law student who embodies academic excellence, leadership, community service and a commitment to advancing diversity in the legal profession.

Omar, who is from Wayne, New Jersey graduated magna cum laude from The College of New Jersey with a Bachelor of Music. He also received his New Jersey Teacher’s Certification in Music K – 12.  While attending The College of New Jersey, he was President, Student Conductor and Trumpet Section Leader of the Wind Ensemble and Trumpet Section Leader of the Orchestra.  At Boston Law, Omar is a member of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society, the Art Law Society and, Secretary of the Native American Law Student Association.

Porzio’s diversity scholarship is open to a New Jersey resident first-year law student attending an ABA accredited law school with a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.3.   Applicants are required to complete an application and submit an undergraduate transcript, a law school transcript, a resume, and an essay.
