Porzio Welcomes Sal Anderton as Of Counsel

Porzio, Bromberg & Newman P.C. is pleased to announce that Sal M. Anderton has joined the firm as of Counsel. At Porzio, Sal will focus on real estate, tort law, and personal injury in the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group. Serving dual roles, Sal will continue to serve as Legislative Director with Porzio Governmental Affairs, the lobbying subsidiary of Porzio, where he advises healthcare organizations, insurance companies, financial institutions, and trade associations on legislative and regulatory developments that could potentially impact their business.

Sal comes to Porzio from Tobia & Sorger, a law firm in Harrison, New Jersey.  Before earning his J.D. degree from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1998, Sal was published in both the Seton Hall Legislative Law Journal and the Seton Hall Review.  While pursuing his B.S. degree in Political Science and Philosophy in Montclair State University’s Honors program, Sal served one year as President of the S.G.A. and two years as the student member of the University Board of Trustees.  He is now an adjunct professor of Law and Political Science at Montclair State.

In the community, Sal has served as West Orange Township Councilman where he reduced spending and delivered two straight Municipal Budgets with no tax increase. He also has been twice appointed as counsel to the West Orange Planning Board, and is currently Chairman of the West Orange Democratic Committee.
