Deirdre Wheatley-Liss Appointed to Morris County Advisory Committee on Women

Porzio, Bromberg & Newman P.C. congratulates Deirdre Wheatley-Liss, a principal of the firm, on her appointment to the Morris County Advisory Committee on Women. Ms. Wheatley-Liss was appointed to the committee by the Morris County Board of Chosen Freeholders on July 24, 2013.

The mission of the Morris County Advisory Committee on Women is to: 1) Study the needs, problems, interests, convents and capabilities of the women who reside and work in Morris County. 2) Conduct research and centralize information regarding resources, issues, events and programs which involve women's concerns and promote their interests. 3) Advise and promote reforms in the law, public policy and public attitudes towards women.

Ms. Wheatley-Liss focuses her legal practice in the areas of business planning, taxation, estate planning and administration, and elder law for individuals, closely held businesses and non-profit organizations.  She has experience in Medicaid, retirement benefits and asset protection planning, guardianships and advocacy for the elder.  Ms. Wheatley-Liss has an LL.M in Taxation, an advanced legal degree. She is also accredited as a Certified Elder Law Attorney, one of fewer than 60 attorneys in New Jersey with this credential.
