Porzio Announces Attorney Promotions

Porzio, Bromberg & Newman P.C. is pleased to announce the promotions of C. John DeSimone, III to principal, and Peter J. Gallagher and Christine N. Bradshaw to counsel. The promotions are effective July 1, 2013.

A former Assistant Prosecutor with the Hudson County Prosecutor’s office, John DeSimone joined Porzio as an associate in 2003 and earned his promotion to counsel in 2007. A member of the Real Estate Practice Group, John specializes in real estate litigation and business litigation.  His practice also includes professional claims defense, lender litigation, medical claims disputes, and general commercial litigation matters. John is also an experienced land use and zoning attorney as well as a general counsel for several community associations.  He is an approved mediator under the Superior Court of New Jersey Civil Mediation Program, Morris and Hudson counties.

John received his J.D. from Boston College Law School and his  B.A. cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York, and before the United States Court of Appeals and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Following a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Gail L. Menyuk of the New Jersey Tax Court, Christine Bradshaw joined Porzio in 2007 as an associate.  She is a member of the firm’s Life Sciences Compliance, Commercialization and Regulatory Counseling Department, as well as Director, Regulatory and Compliance Services of Porzio Life Sciences, a subsidiary of the firm.  Christine counsels pharmaceutical, medical device and biotechnology companies on issues related to state marketing disclosures and gift prohibition laws and state and federal regulation of the distribution of trade and sample product including PDMA, licensing, and pedigree issues.  She creates and conducts management and sales force training on various compliance issues.

Christine received her J.D., cum laude, from American University, Washington College of Law and her B.A. in Environmental Sciences and Policy, with a minor in French and Economics, from Duke University.  She is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

An accomplished litigator, Peter Gallagher joined Porzio as an associate in 2010.    Peter focuses his practice on general commercial litigation, while also representing the firm’s real estate clients in matters involving commercial lease litigation, real estate contract disputes, prerogative writs, and zoning appeals.  An avid writer, Peter has authored articles for numerous publications.  He is also the editor, and one of the primary bloggers, on Porzio’s real estate blog, Porzio Real Property Blog.  Since 2005, Peter has helped teach the next generation of legal writers as an adjunct professor of Legal Research and Writing at Seton Hall University School of Law.

Peter received his J.D. from George Washington University Law Center  and his B.A. from The College of New Jersey.  He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York, and before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
