Porzio Promotes Four Attorneys to Principal and One Attorney to Counsel

Porzio, Bromberg & Newman P.C. ("Porzio") Is pleased to announce the promotions of Todd A. Denys, Jennifer A. Romanski, Robert M. Schechter and Kerri A. Wright to principal and Katharine A. Muscalino to counsel.  The promotions are effective July 1, 2014.

Todd A. Denys joined Porzio as counsel in 2009 when the firm merged with the intellectual property boutique, Mathews, Shepherd, McKay & Bruneau, P.C.  A member of Porzio's Intellectual Property Department, Todd specializes in counseling clients on all aspects of trademark matters, including the clearance of marks, prosecution of domestic and foreign applications as well as the maintenance of global trademark portfolios on behalf of individuals as well as companies of all sizes, including Fortune 500 entities. 

Todd received his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law – Camden and his B.A. degree from Muhlenberg College.  He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York and before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.  Todd is based in the firm's Princeton, New Jersey office.

Following her employment with Porzio as a summer associate, Jennifer A. Romanski joined Porzio as an associate in 1997, and promoted to counsel in 2004.  She is a member of the firm’s Life Sciences Compliance, Commercialization and Regulatory Counseling Department as well as Vice President of Porzio Life Sciences, a wholly owned subsidiary of the firm.  Jennifer concentrates her practice on counseling pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device companies in regulatory and compliance matters, including preparation of corporate compliance programs, advertising and promotion activities, medical publication planning, interactions with healthcare practitioners, grants and continuing medical education programs, FDA enforcement activity, and sample accountability and PDMA requirements.

Jennifer earned her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.  She received her B.A. degree, cum laude,  from the University of Pennsylvania.  She is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York and before the United States Court District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.  Jennifer is based in Porzio's Morristown, New Jersey office.

After serving four years as an associate producer of CNN, Robert M. Schechter joined Porzio as a summer associate in 2004.  Rob subsequently joined Porzio as an associate in 2005 and elevated to counsel in 2011.  A member of the firm's Bankruptcy and Financial Restructuring Department, he concentrates his practice on the representation of creditors and debtors in commercial litigation and bankruptcy matters. 

Rob earned his J.D., cum laude,  from New York Law School and received his B.A. degree from Rutgers University.  He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York and before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.  Rob is based in Porzio's Morristown and Princeton, New Jersey offices.

Kerri A. Wright began her career with Porzio as a summer intern in 2003 and a summer associate in 2004.  She joined the firm as an associate in 2005 and was elevated to counsel in 2011.  Kerri is a member of the firm's Employment Department.  She focuses her practice in the areas of education law and employment law, specifically in representation of management in both employment counseling and employment litigation.

Kerri received her J.D., cum laude, from Emory University School of Law, a Masters of Public Administration and a B.A., magna cum laude, from Seton Hall University.  She is licensed to practice in New Jersey and New York and before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.  Kerri is based in the firm's Morristown, New Jersey office.

Katharine A. Muscalino was a paralegal with Porzio before leaving the firm to attend law school.  She returned to the firm as a summer associate in 2005 and 2006 and joined the firm as an associate in 2007.  Kate is a member of the firm's Real Estate Practice Group.  She concentrates her practice in redevelopment, land use applications, and related litigation including issues regarding affordable housing, the Highlands Act, and condominium law.

Kate received a J.D. from Emory University School of Law and a B.A. degree, cum laude, from Washington and Lee University.  She is licensed to practice in New York and New Jersey.  Kate is resident in the firm's Morristown, New Jersey office.
