Marc I. Eida Joins the Porzio Life Sciences Department

Porzio, Bromberg & Newman is proud to announce the addition of Marc I. Eida as an associate in the firm's Life Sciences Compliance and Regulatory Counseling Department.  Marc advises pharmaceutical, medical device and biotechnology companies on compliance-related issues and counsels clients on legal and regulatory issues.  

Marc also serves as a compliance associate with Porzio Life Sciences, LLC, a subsidiary of the law firm.  In this capacity, he counsels life sciences companies on a variety of compliance issues, including federal and state fraud and abuse laws, FDA promotional regulations, industry standards regarding interactions with healthcare professionals, and sampling requirements. Marc will also collaborate on new products and services to expand the suite of compliance and regulatory services offered to the life sciences industry.

As the former Assistant District Attorney of Bronx County (Bronx, NY), Mr. Eida successfully wrote and argued several direct appeals in the Appellate Division, First Department and the Court of Appeals, responded to post-conviction motions to set aside verdicts, and answered state and federal habeas corpus petitions.  He served in the Felony Trial Bureau from September 2007 until November 2013, when he joined the Appeals Bureau.

Mr. Eida earned his Juris Doctor from George Washington University in Washington, DC, and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Duke University in Economics, where he also minored in Russian.
