Porzio Welcomes Ahmed Kassim to the Litigation Department

Porzio is pleased to welcome Ahmed J. Kassim as Counsel to the Litigation Department. He concentrates his practice in the areas of products liability, pharmaceutical and medical device litigation and mass tort litigation.

Ahmed represents a wide variety of product manufacturers, including leading pharmaceutical, chemical, telecommunications, and industrial companies, in mass tort and individual cases. 

Ahmed has technical expertise in chemical engineering, specialty chemical manufacturing, refinery process design and cellular biological research. Prior to entering the legal industry, he worked as a chemical engineer for BASF Corporation and as a research assistant for the National Institute of Health, and co-authored papers pertaining to cellular research and oncology. His unique background as both a litigator and a chemical engineer provide valuable insight on the issues affecting his clients.

Ahmed completed his J.D. degree at Rutgers University School of Law in Newark, New Jersey, where he was the Online Editor of the Rutgers Conflict Resolution Journal. He earned a B.A. in Chemical Engineering and a Certificate of Management in Finance and Accounting from the University of Rochester.
