Overview
Courtnie Bolden, an associate in the firm’s Litigation group and member of the Employment and Education team, represents clients in complex litigation defense with a focus on employment and education matters. Courtnie defends clients against claims of wrongful termination, retaliation, discrimination, unlawful harassment, and hostile work environment. Her practice also focuses on complex commercial and business litigation, with an emphasis on contract litigation. Committed to fostering strong relationships to achieve their goals, she defends companies of all sizes, including state and government agencies, with a strategic and holistic approach, bolstered by her background in appellate advocacy.
As the first in her family to graduate from college, Courtnie understands that true success is a collective effort. It goes beyond intelligence, preparation, and hard work—it’s about having people who support you. She is deeply committed to being that unwavering support for her clients.
During her time in law school, Courtnie gained valuable experience through several internships and clerkships. She served as a law clerk to The Honorable Ronald Susswein of the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division. Prior to that, she was a judicial intern to The Honorable Joseph A. Greenaway, Jr., of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Additionally, Courtnie honed her legal skills as a legal intern at the Rutgers Law School Child Advocacy Clinic. These experiences provided her with a solid foundation in various areas of law and an understanding of the judicial process.
