Porzio Diversity Manager Renée Davis Honored at Seton Hall's 8th Annual Diversity Banquet

Best Western Plus Robert Treat Hotel, The Crystal Ballroom, 50 Park Pl., Newark, NJ 07102

Porzio Diversity Manager Renée L. Davis was honored for her contribution to the advancement of diversity in the New Jersey legal community during Seton Hall's 8th Annual Diversity Banquet. The event took place on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at 6:00 PM in Newark, New Jersey.

Ms. Davis was recognized alongside fellow honoree Michele Meyer-Shipp, Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer of Prudential Financial. Linda Sarsour, Executive Director of the Arab American Association of New York, was the keynote speaker.

Ms. Davis began her career in the legal industry as a paralegal at Porzio, where she advanced to Paralegal Coordinator before transitioning into the Coordinator of Marketing & Client Services, a role she continues to hold as well. When the firm realized the need for an established Diversity Manager position eight years ago, Ms. Davis was the obvious choice.

According to Ms. Davis, "As the firm’s first Diversity Manager, I recognize that the creation of a truly diverse and inclusive workplace will be a long journey—one that others will continue after my tenure. I am excited to lead the path to finding and implementing new and innovative ways to achieve our goal."
