Vito Gagliardi Quoted in Article on Referendum to Dissolve Cape May County Regional School District

Vito A. Gagliardi, Jr., a principal of Porzio, Bromberg & Newman, is quoted in an article in the Press of Atlantic City, regarding a nonbinding referendum on the dissolution of the regional school district in Cape May County. The Lower Cape May Regional Board of Education voted unanimously to put the question regarding the dissolution of the regional school district, along with a second question regarding if Cape May should be permitted to withdraw from the district, on the November 5, 2013 election ballot.

Attorney for Cape May on these issues, Mr. Gagliardi advises that the state Department of Education must approve a question on dissolving the district or having a town leave a district.  He further notes that the vote must be a special election and cannot be tacked onto a general election.
