Vito Gagliardi Jr. Quoted in The Daily Record and USA Today Regarding Bullying Lawsuit

3/10/2014

Vito A. Gagliardi, Jr. of Porzio, Bromberg and Newman is quoted in The Daily Record and USA Today in his capacity as general counsel for the Morris School District. The district was recently named in a lawsuit brought by Morris Township resident Sharon Varnelas, mother of a 15-year-old high school freshman who killed himself after being bullied by three male students.

Filed with the state Superior Court in Morristown on Thursday, the lawsuit alleges the district and others failed to protect her son. Mr. Gagliardi stated, "the Morris School District will demonstrate in the lawsuit that they followed all relevant policies and procedures, and that the student's suicide was a tragedy which cannot be blamed on school officials."

Reported in The Daily Record and USA Today.
