Overview

Kelly is a principal at Porzio, Bromberg & Newman and a key member of its Commercial Practice Group and Bankruptcy and Financial Restructuring team. With over fifteen years of experience, she is a trusted advisor to corporate debtors, creditors, unsecured creditor committees, trustees, equity holders, distressed asset purchasers, and other stakeholders navigating bankruptcy, financial restructuring, and commercial litigation.

Kelly’s practice is defined by her ability to deliver tailored solutions across industries, including pharmaceutical, retail, healthcare, real estate, hospitality, manufacturing, food services, transportation, and education. Recently, she spearheaded complex engagements in the pharmaceutical and specialty retail sectors, leading the sale of debtor businesses and ensuring maximum creditor recovery in intricate, high-stakes transactions.

Her experience spans all facets of restructuring, including Chapter 11 proceedings, assignments, receiverships, and cross-border insolvency. An accomplished litigator, Kelly has successfully represented clients in bankruptcy-related disputes, achieving favorable trial outcomes and settlements. Her litigation insight strengthens her ability to guide clients through workouts and turnaround scenarios, offering practical, strategic advice that drives results both in and out of the courtroom.
