Manager of Recruitment, Professional Development & Inclusion
Porzio, Bromberg & Newman, P.C. seeks a dynamic and strategic HR Professional to lead our efforts in attracting top talent, fostering employee professional development, and advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) across the organization. The Manager of Recruitment, Professional Development & Inclusion will play a key role in shaping a workplace culture that is inclusive, growth-oriented, and aligned with our organizational values.
Essential Functions:
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Develop and execute strategic recruitment plans for attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff to attract diverse and high-performing talent.
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process including job descriptions, job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Build and maintain relationships with law schools, legal recruiters, and professional organizations.
- Create and manage a seamless onboarding process for new hires.
- Ensure new employees are introduced to company culture, policies, and procedures.
- Oversee summer associate hiring program including recruitment, onboarding, training, team assignments and performance feedback.
Learning & Development
- Identify and assess current and future training needs of employees.
- Assist the Professional Development Committee with establishing and executing a curriculum of legal skills training.
- Manage the firm’s CLE program.
Performance Evaluations
- Oversee the annual and mid-year performance review cycles for law firm and subsidiary personnel ensuring timely execution and consistency across departments.
- Manage and optimize performance management platforms used in the evaluation process.
- Manage the logistics of the evaluation process, including scheduling, documentation, and system administration.
Mentoring
- In conjunction with the Mentoring Committee, assess the current mentoring program for effectiveness, and implement necessary changes for new hires and existing employees.
- Pair mentors and mentees based on skills, experience, and career goals.
- Monitor the progress of mentoring relationships and provide support as needed.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the mentoring program and make necessary adjustments.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
- Lead Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives that promote an inclusive workplace culture and equitable practices.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to embed Diversity, Equity and Inclusion principles into recruitment, onboarding, and development programs.
- Monitor and report on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion metrics and progress toward organizational benchmarks.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience with a focus on recruitment, development, and DEI.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.
- Strong understanding of legal industry hiring practices and professional development standards.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information, exercising a high level of discretion and professionalism in all interactions.
- Proven track record of using sound judgment to navigate complex or sensitive situations.
- Familiarity with Diversity, Equity and Inclusion frameworks and best practices.
- Ability to use office equipment, including, but not limited to, computer equipment.
- Flexibility in daily work schedule to meet firm needs.
- A valid driver's license or ability to transport oneself to off-site project locations independently of mass transit, if necessary.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
