Counsel Richard Ploss Spoke at EPCNYC's Estate Planners Day 2017

Porzio counsel I. Richard Ploss presented at Estate Planners Day 2017, sponsored by the Estate Planning Council of New York City (EPCNYC), on April 27, 2017 from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM at The Union League Club in New York City. This premier event featured industry leaders addressing the current topics and trends affecting the practice of estate planning.

Mr. Ploss' 2:50 PM session, "Estate Planning & Administration For Firearms," provided an overview of both Federal and State law affecting firearms. Attendees learned how to advise Executors of decedent's estates and Trustees of trusts owning firearms, regarding the administration of firearms. Additionally, Mr. Ploss discussed how to advise a client regarding estate planning for firearms. The presentation included a discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of "Gun Trusts," and the current regulatory environment.
