Porzio Principals Presented at CBI's Data Privacy Summit for Life Sciences

Porzio principals William J. Hughes, Jr. and Deirdre Wheatley-Liss presented during CBI's Data Privacy Summit for Life Sciences, in Philadelphia, PA. The session, "Playbook for Addressing a Data Breach," took place at 2:15 PM on October 30, 2017. 

In response to the recent influx of data breaches and the impact of current privacy law updates, this Summit was designed to foster an open discussion on securing the collection, transfer and use of personal data. Attendees walked away with strategies for how to prepare the threat of a breach, while exploring the unique challenges to data privacy in the life sciences industry. 

William Hughes is an experienced litigator representing clients in federal white collar investigations and criminal defense, complex commercial litigation in the areas of cybersecurity, antitrust, fraud, intellectual property, commercial and shareholder disputes.

Deirdre Wheatley-Liss helps organizations to meet regulatory requirements by assessing current data privacy and cybersecurity policies against best practice frameworks. Ms. Wheatley-Liss provides counseling pertaining to policies and pre-incident planning, in order to minimize loss in the case of a potential breach. She is a frequent lecturer on best practices and corporate governance as related to privilege and cybersecurity.
