Porzio, Bromberg & Newman Winner of 2023 Legalweek Leaders in Tech Law Awards

Porzio, Bromberg & Newman is proud to announce that it has won the Regulatory Technology category in the Legalweek Leaders in Tech Law Awards for its groundbreaking work in the creation and ultimate sale of its technology-based subsidiary, Porzio Life Sciences (PLS). This achievement is a testament to the firm's pioneering efforts in providing innovative solutions to clients in the highly regulated pharmaceutical industry.

PLS offers a range of solutions that help companies automate their regulatory compliance efforts, thereby easing the burden on internal compliance departments. More than 600 pharmaceutical companies have used PLS products and Porzio's life sciences legal team to comply with state, federal, and foreign laws.

In October 2022, Porzio, Bromberg & Newman made history by becoming the first U.S. law firm to sell a legal technology subsidiary to a private equity portfolio company. RLDatix acquired PLS for an undisclosed amount, marking the culmination of a business strategy that has now been adopted by several of the world's largest law firms, which are developing their own technology subsidiaries.

While maintaining a link with PLS, Porzio, Bromberg & Newman also continues to offer life sciences regulatory legal services through its team of attorneys based in New Jersey and Massachusetts, as well as through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Porzio Compliance Services, LLC, which offers life sciences licensing services.
