Porzio, Bromberg & Newman Continues Growth in Puerto Rico with Addition of Bankruptcy and Restructuring Attorney Nayuan Zouairabani-Trinidad

8/20/2026

Porzio, Bromberg & Newman proudly announces that Nayuan Zouairabani-Trinidad has joined the firm as Counsel in its Bankruptcy & Financial Restructuring Department, marking the firm's second strategic attorney addition in Puerto Rico this year and further reinforcing its commitment to expanding services and capabilities in the region.

Nayuan's arrival follows the recent addition of Gabriela M. Dávila Micheo to Porzio's Litigation Group, reflecting the firm's continued investment in its San Juan office and commitment to providing clients with deep local and national resources.

"The continued expansion of our Puerto Rico office reflects both the strength of the market and our long-term commitment to serving clients there," said Vito A. Gagliardi Jr. "Nayuan brings a wealth of experience in restructuring, insolvency, and creditors' rights matters, and his addition further deepens the bench of talent we have assembled in San Juan. We are excited about the momentum we are building and the opportunities it creates for our clients and our firm."

Nayuan focuses his practice on bankruptcy, reorganization, and commercial litigation. He represents financial institutions, creditors, lenders, businesses, and other stakeholders in complex insolvency and restructuring matters, providing strategic counsel in both transactional and litigation-related contexts.

A significant portion of his practice involves matters arising under the Puerto Rico Oversight, Management, and Economic Stability Act (PROMESA), where he has represented creditors and other stakeholders in Title III proceedings involving the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and several public instrumentalities. He also has extensive experience advising clients on matters involving the Financial Oversight and Management Board for Puerto Rico (FOMB), including Fiscal Plans, budgets, and contract review issues.

"Nayuan brings an impressive combination of bankruptcy, restructuring, and commercial litigation experience, particularly in matters that have shaped Puerto Rico's financial landscape over the last several years," said Rachel A. Parisi and Robert M. Schechter, Co-Chairs of Porzio's Bankruptcy & Financial Restructuring Department. "His experience in PROMESA-related proceedings, creditors' rights litigation, and complex restructuring matters enhances our ability to help clients navigate sophisticated financial challenges and achieve their business objectives."

"What attracted me to Porzio was the firm's collaborative approach and the strength of its Bankruptcy & Financial Restructuring practice," said Zouairabani-Trinidad. "The department's reputation for providing practical, business-focused counsel is well known, and I look forward to working with my colleagues to help clients protect their interests and achieve successful outcomes in complex restructuring and litigation matters."
