Vito A. Gagliardi, Jr. Honored as NJBIZ 2025 Leader in Law

Gagliardi, Jr., Managing Principal of the firm and co-chairs of the firm's Litigation Practice Group, and its Education and Employment Team, has been named a 2025 NJBIZ Leader in Law honoree in the Employment: Labor, Litigation, ERISA category. This prestigious recognition honors legal professionals whose exceptional leadership and dedication to their profession and communities set them apart.

As Managing Principal, Gagliardi has been instrumental in guiding Porzio through significant growth, expanding the firm’s client base, and fostering collaboration across practices. Under his leadership, Porzio achieved Mansfield Certification, reinforcing its commitment to diversity and inclusion. Additionally, he ensured that no employees suffered layoffs or missed paychecks occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic, reflecting the firm’s core values of stability and support for its employees.

Gagliardi’s leadership in employment law has been a defining feature of his career. As a trusted advisor, he has successfully navigated high-stakes employment litigation, risk management, and regulatory challenges across various industries. His experience spans complex labor law,  and employment disputes, where his strategic counsel has helped clients avoid costly litigation and implement proactive solutions.

In his role as co-chair of the Education and Employment team, Gagliardi has been at the forefront of legal innovation in New Jersey’s education sector. His work on public school reconfiguration and other complex education matters has resulted in landmark legal victories, including precedent-setting decisions before the New Jersey Supreme Court. His trusted counsel has earned him the confidence of school boards statewide.

In addition to his role at Porzio, Gagliardi is President and CEO of the firm’s subsidiaries, Porzio Compliance Services and Porzio Governmental Affairs. He also chairs the New Jersey Law Revision Commission; is a Certified Civil Trial Attorney; and was elected a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers,  based on recommendations from judges and peers, further emphasizing his professional standing.
