Wealth Preservation Principal Crystal West Edwards Joins Prestigious Special Needs Alliance
Crystal West Edwards, a principal in Porzio, Bromberg & Newman’s Wealth Preservation Group, has been admitted to the Special Needs Alliance (SNA)—a prestigious, invitation-only national organization comprised of attorneys committed to the practice of disability and public benefits law.
SNA membership is highly selective, based on a combination of legal experience in disability and elder law, active advocacy work, and strong professional reputation. Members are recognized for their depth of knowledge and commitment to serving individuals with disabilities, averaging 18 years of relevant practice.
Edwards expressed her enthusiasm for the appointment, saying, “It’s a privilege to be part of an organization that sets the gold standard for special needs planning. I’m honored to join a community of professionals so deeply committed to serving individuals with disabilities and their families.”
This recognition highlights Crystal’s long-standing commitment to special needs planning, a central focus of her practice. She regularly counsels individuals with disabilities and their families on complex estate and tax planning, asset preservation, and eligibility for means-tested government benefits.
In addition to her SNA membership, Crystal is a Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA) by the ABA Accredited National Elder Law Foundation and a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), reflecting her broad and deep experience across the fields of elder law, trusts and estates, and special needs advocacy.
Crystal also advises financial institutions and corporate fiduciaries on judicial and administrative accountings and public benefit eligibility for trust beneficiaries. She is a respected speaker and author and currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Community Foundation of New Jersey.
