Kerri Wright Named NJBIZ 2025 Leading Women in Business Honoree

7/08/2025

Kerri Wright, Principal and co-chair of Porzio’s Education & Employment Team, has been named one of NJBIZ’s 2025 Leading Women in Business. This award recognizes women across New Jersey who demonstrate professional excellence, leadership, and a lasting impact in their industries and communities.
With a practice focused on representing management in employment counseling and litigation, Wright handles matters ranging from discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour disputes to whistleblower claims and restrictive covenants. She has successfully defended employers in class-action lawsuits and guided them through internal investigations during particularly sensitive moments.

Wright’s work is deeply rooted in helping institutions—whether public schools, private businesses, or nonprofits—navigate complex legal challenges with integrity and practical insight. In the education space, she has played a key role in guiding school boards through structural transitions, such as the formation and dissolution of regional districts, and continues to offer legal counsel on day-to-day governance issues. Her experience as a five-term member and past President of the Chester Board of Education provides her with a unique, firsthand understanding of the challenges school leaders face.

“My work is driven by a commitment to helping organizations—whether public schools, private businesses, or nonprofits—navigate legal challenges with confidence, integrity, and practical insight,” Wright shared in her nomination. “I strive to promote a proactive, solutions-focused approach that helps clients feel informed, supported, and empowered.”

NJBIZ’s Leading Women in Business awards program evaluates nominees through a competitive process that includes professional accomplishments, community involvement, and advocacy. Honorees are recognized not only for their individual success, but for their dedication to lifting up others and shaping the future of their industries.

NJBIZ will recognize the 2025 honorees at an awards ceremony on August 19, hosted at The Palace at Somerset Park.
