Kimberly Lawton works with healthcare and life sciences companies to navigate legal, regulatory compliance, and emerging operational risks. Her practice is informed by hands‑on experience with complex data systems and data flows, including the handling of sensitive health information.

Kimberly prepares and reviews compliance policies and training materials to support company compliance programs, conducts compliance and related assessments, and supports the legal review of promotional and other materials through a company materials review process. She also conducts legal research and prepares legal memoranda to advise life sciences companies on the application of various laws and legal frameworks to their clinical and commercial activities.

Kimberly has also previously worked on a range of privacy‑ and healthcare‑related legal matters, including consent requirements, mandatory reporting obligations, and the collection and use of regulated health data. Through internships with the Massachusetts Office of the Attorney General’s Reproductive Justice Unit and the Massachusetts Law Reform Institute, she researched and analyzed federal and state laws affecting reproductive health, patient rights, and data collection practices. Her experience includes drafting legal memoranda on consent laws, reporting frameworks, and related compliance considerations relevant to healthcare and life sciences organizations.

Before entering the legal field, Kimberly built a career advising corporate clients on complex enterprise systems and data workflows, working closely with business and technical teams to identify risk considerations and implementation challenges. She is skilled at translating complex legal and technical issues into clear, practical guidance aligned with business needs, particularly where legal requirements intersect with real‑world operations and technology environments.
