Porzio Supports the Minority Corporate Counsel Association's 2013 Diversity Honors Gala

The Minority Corporate Counsel Association (“MCCA”) held its annual Diversity Honors Gala on September 17, 2013 at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City. The event was emceed by Carl Quintanilla, CNBC anchor and NBC news correspondent and featured a performance by Grammy Award winning singer, Mary J. Blige.

The MCCA Gala is the premier national awards program honoring the foremost corporate law departments from across the nation for diversity and industry leadership as well as achievements in their legal department diversity programs.   Ursula M. Burns, Chairman and CEO of Xerox Corporation, was  honored with MCCA’s Lifetime Achievement Award for important and lasting contributions to advancing a society that fully appreciates, celebrates and recognizes the value of diversity. Also, five Employers of Choice (Toyota,  Comcast, Aetna, Target  and Entergy) were recognized for exemplary commitment to diversity and creating and maintaining an inclusive workplace.  MCCA also recognized a number of diversity innovators, corporate legal departments, law firms or legal bar associations, for their implementation of outstanding diversity programs.
