Principal Kerri Wright Named in Article on Sea Bright Borough's Challenge to School Formula
Porzio principal Kerri A. Wright was mentioned in the Asbury Park Press article, "Sea Bright wants new school formula with Shore Regional," by Dan Radel, on March 1, 2017.
The Borough of Sea Bright has challenged the Shore Regional High School Board of Education’s decision to deny a request for a referendum to modify the school funding formula. The borough pays nearly three times as much per student as the other three schools that make up Shore Regional. According to the district budget, last year Sea Bright paid the equivalent of $105,933.00 per pupil, while Oceanport and West Long Branch paid about $16,000 each, and Monmouth Beach paid about $38,000.
Porzio represents Sea Bright, with Kerri Wright leading the matter alongside firm Managing Principal Vito A. Gagliardi, Jr. Ms. Wright stated that her client wants Shore Regional to ask voters to decide the issue, and anticipates that they should know by April or May if they will get the referendum.
