Porzio Promotes One Attorney to Principal and One to Counsel

Porzio, Bromberg & Newman P.C. (Porzio) is pleased to announce the promotions of Eliyahu S. Scheiman to principal and Caroline C. Maxwell to counsel. 

 

 

Scheiman, Eliyahu

Eliyahu (Eli) S. Scheiman joined Porzio in 2007 and is a member of the firm's Litigation Practice Group. Mr. Scheiman has a wide range of litigation experience, primarily in commercial and business law. He concentrates his practice in the analysis of insurance claims and coverage disputes, class actions, contract disputes, real estate disputes, counseling and employment defense to employers, and the defense of public and private entities in tort actions. He has counseled and defended companies in connection with class action claims involving insurance issues, the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act, and the New Jersey Truth-in-Consumer Contract, Warranty and Notice Act.

Mr. Scheiman earned his J.D., cum laude, from Boston College Law School in 2004. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey.

 

Maxwell, Caroline

Caroline C. Maxwell joined Porzio in 2014 as an associate and focuses her practice on intellectual property and complex commercial litigation, patent, copyright and trademark disputes, as well as other civil litigation matters. Ms. Maxwell represents domestic and international clients in federal courts throughout the country, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and various alternative dispute resolution forums. She has represented companies in matters involving medical and surgical devices, pharmaceuticals, dietary supplements, software and computer hardware.

Ms. Maxwell earned her J.D., cum laude, from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2006. She is admitted to practice in Texas, with practice limited to federal courts and agencies.
