Porzio Expands Life Sciences Practice, Alicia Whittlesey Joins Firm's New England Office
On Monday, April 30, Alicia A. Whittlesey joined Porzio, Bromberg & Newman, P.C. as counsel in the firm's New England office. Whittlesey focuses her practice on counseling and compliance for life sciences companies.
Prior to joining Porzio, Ms. Whittlesey served as a member of the Commercial Counsel Legal Affairs team at Biogen, a leading life sciences company, where she advised on effective methods to manage commercial and legal risks in the US and abroad.
Whittlesey represents life sciences companies with regard to compliance with policies, procedures, and complex state and federal laws and regulations that govern the Life Sciences industry. Her experience includes advising on HIPAA and other privacy regulations, federal Food, Drug & Cosmetic Act, FDA guidance and regulations, the PhRMA Code, and copyright and trademark laws. In addition, Whittlesey is Director of Compliance Services for Porzio Life Sciences, the firm's wholly owned subsidiary, where she collaborates with the life sciences companies to provide regulatory and compliance guidance.
Whittlesey received her J.D. from Pace University School of Law and her B.S. from Albright College. She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and New Jersey.
