Porzio Adds to Corporate Practice with Addition of Sean F. Reid
On Tuesday, May 1, Sean F. Reid joined Porzio, Bromberg & Newman, P.C., as counsel in the firm's Morristown, NJ office. Reid is a corporate transactional attorney who focuses his practice on capital markets transactions, securities regulation, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Reid was a corporate attorney of an AmLaw 100 firm and spent time at the Bureau of Securities of the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and was previously a senior accountant in the Assurance and Advisory Services Group of Deloitte & Touche in New York.
Reid represents public and private entities and individuals, boards of directors, and both domestic and international organizations in industries ranging from the life sciences industry to the financial services and cannabis areas. He supports his clients' ongoing compliance needs including SEC reporting obligations, the preparation and filing of registration statements, trading and disclosure practices, and Sarbanes Oxley compliance.
Reid counsels companies on a variety capital market transactions, including public and private offerings of equity, debt, and hybrid securities. He has advised on traditional IPOs, secondary offerings, PIPEs, private placements, and venture capital financings. In the M&A area, he represents buyers, sellers, and financial advisors in the purchases and sales of both private and public organizations, carve-out transactions, and joint ventures.
Reid earned his J.D. degree at New York Law School, an LL.M. from Fordham University School of Law, and a B.S. in accounting from Fairfield University. He is admitted to practice law in New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut and the U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey.
