Porzio Expands its Employment Litigation and White Collar Criminal Practices with the Addition of Patricia Prezioso as Principal

MORRISTOWN, N.J., December 10, 2019 – Porzio, Bromberg & Newman, P.C. ("Porzio") is pleased to announce that Patricia M. Prezioso has joined its Morristown, New Jersey office as a Principal on the Employment and Labor and Litigation teams. Prezioso focuses her practice in the areas of employment defense, white collar criminal defense, and environmental litigation.

Her experience will significantly benefit our clients and we are excited to welcome her to the firm.”

Prezioso provides comprehensive counsel to companies facing various claims from employees, including discrimination, harassment, whistleblowing, retaliation, equal pay, or FLSA, as well as government investigations or alleged violations of the law. In addition to defending employment lawsuits and claims, she provides and supports her clients on in-house investigations, responding to government subpoenas, environmental claims, criminal allegations, and contract disputes.

Before entering the private sector, Prezioso served as Chief of Law Enforcement Services, Deputy Director and Executive Assistant Attorney General for the New Jersey Attorney General's Office – Division of Criminal Justice. She was the lead prosecutor in State v. McGuire, an infamous seven-week murder trial in New Jersey. She also served as an Assistant District Attorney at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, where she was a designated sex crimes and homicide assistant. Her experience in the public sector has provided her with unique investigative and prosecutorial insight that she applies to her client’s defense.

Prezioso has been named to the New Jersey Law Journal's 2016 list of "Top 20 Women in Law," honored by the state of New Jersey and the New Jersey Department of Law and Public Safety with "Professional Achievement" awards and received the "Innovation in Government" award from the National Council of State Governments. She frequently speaks and trains on conducting investigations, trial advocacy, trial preparation, and has been featured in television news specials on ABC, NBC, CBS, and the Discovery Channel.

Prezioso received her B.S. from the State University of New York at Albany, and her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School. She is admitted in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
