David Disler advises public and private sector clients across a wide range of education law, employment law, and labor relations matters as part of Porzio’s Employment & Education Team. He represents employers and school districts in complex litigation, workplace investigations, collective bargaining, and regulatory compliance. In addition to his client work, David is a frequent speaker and trainer, guiding organizations through pressing and evolving issues in labor, employment, and education law. Known for delivering clear, practical insights, he helps clients stay ahead of change and remain compliant with state and federal laws.  He currently services on the Board of Trustees and as Vice President of the New Jersey Association of School Attorneys.

Maria F. Galante advises high-net-worth individuals, families, and closely held business owners on estate, tax, and wealth transfer planning. She develops customized strategies that integrate estate planning, asset protection, fiduciary administration, and trust and estate matters, with particular experience serving multijurisdictional and international families. A native of Colombia and fluent Spanish speaker, Maria regularly counsels Latin American and other international clients on U.S. estate tax and succession issues, drawing on her legal training in both Colombia and the United States. Her practice includes business succession planning, tax-efficient wealth transfers, and elder law and Medicaid planning. Maria is also active in bar association leadership, diversity initiatives, and mentoring programs that support the next generation of legal professionals.

Daniel Makoski guides individuals and closely held businesses through complex tax, estate, and business matters as a member of Porzio’s Wealth Preservation Team. His work includes tax planning and controversy, as well as a full range of corporate and transactional matters such as entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, governance, and succession planning. Bringing a strategic and interdisciplinary approach, Dan helps clients align their legal and financial objectives with practical, tax-efficient solutions, and remains active in the tax and business law community through professional involvement and thought leadership.

Brian Giardina supports educational institutions and employers in navigating employment and education law matters as part of Porzio’s Employment & Education Team. He focuses on representing approved private schools for students with disabilities (APSSDs) and advises on regulatory compliance, personnel issues, and dispute resolution. Drawing on his background as an educator, Brian offers a practical, real-world perspective and remains closely connected to the education community, helping clients address complex and sensitive challenges affecting students, families, and organizations.

These promotions reflect Porzio’s continued focus on cultivating leaders who combine strong legal insight with a commitment to collaboration and client service.
