Porzio, Bromberg & Newman Expands Immigration Capabilities with Addition of Former Department of Homeland Security Counsel

3/18/2026

Porzio, Bromberg & Newman, a multidisciplinary law firm, announces further expansion of its service offerings and immigration capabilities with the addition of Gregory V. d’Agincourt as an attorney on the Employment and Education team. This move further bolsters Porzio’s 50-plus years of experience counseling and representing management on employment and labor matters. In addition to employment-based immigration matters, Gregory advises clients on employment-related issues that intersect with workforce mobility, compliance, and regulatory oversight.

“Our clients are at the heart of everything we do at Porzio and the addition of Gregory to our employment team further expands our offerings, bringing in an additional experienced, resource-oriented leader who counsels our clients swiftly and expertly,” said Vito A. Gagliardi, Jr., Managing Principal of Porzio. “We are continuing to see growing needs across all sectors of our employment practice, especially in the immigration area. We will continue to expand our leadership across the board to meet the evolving needs of our clients.”

Kerri A. Wright, Principal and Co-Chair of Porzio’s Employment and Education team added, “Gregory brings robust industry knowledge to our practice, having served in government roles across multiple administrations. His expertise will be extremely valuable to our clients, helping them to navigate complex challenges in immigration, employment, labor, and education.”

Prior to joining the Porzio team, Gregory served as Assistant Chief Counsel and Associate Litigation Counsel at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Office of the Principal Legal Advisor (DHS). Gregory gained firsthand experience on how immigration laws are applied, enforced, and adjudicated at the federal level. Working within the immigration enforcement and litigation system gave him direct insight into agency decision-making, enforcement priorities, and procedural expectations -- perspective that is rarely available outside government service.

Porzio’s integrated employment practice has expanded significantly in recent years, serving clients ranging from small and mid-sized businesses to public sector entities and Fortune 500 companies. The firm's immigration attorneys now offer a comprehensive suite of services, including business operations integration, DHS and CBP interaction and enforcement support and preparedness, compliance and risk management, litigation defense for employers, and legal support for many industries. The team’s practice includes assisting employers with employees who have or wish to obtain visas, and the myriad issues arising during the processing and renewal of those applications, as well as employees awaiting asylum determinations.

In addition to expanding its immigration expertise, the firm has strengthened its leadership team across all practice areas with the recent additions of Kathleen Ehling and Tara Schellhorn.

“As I embark on the next chapter of my career, I am so thrilled to be joining the employment team at Porzio, working to make a real difference with a diverse array of leaders,” said d’Agincourt. “I look forward to applying my experience in the industry to support our clients, lending strategic guidance, empathy and thoughtful legal solutions.”
