Rahool Patel Appointed Chair of New Jersey Supreme Court District VIII Ethics Committee
Rahool Patel, a counsel in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group and a member of the Education and Employment Team, has been appointed Chair of the New Jersey Supreme Court’s District VIII Ethics Committee, effective September 1, 2025.
District Ethics Committees play a vital role in upholding the integrity of the legal profession in New Jersey, investigating and prosecuting allegations of attorney misconduct within their districts. Patel’s appointment as Chair reflects his longstanding dedication to ethical practice and commitment to the highest professional standards. In this role, he will oversee the evaluation of complaints of unethical conduct and guide the committee in ensuring attorneys comply with the professional requirements established by the New Jersey Supreme Court.
Patel has served on the Supreme Court’s District VIII Ethics Committee, which oversees Middlesex County, for the past six years and has been Vice Chair since September 2023. This experience provided him with valuable insight into ethics rules and the opportunity to work closely with attorneys and members of the public on complex and challenging cases, knowledge he now brings to his role as Chair of District VIII.
He represents public and private sector employers in employment litigation and advises on a wide range of workplace matters, including wage and hour compliance, discrimination, harassment, leave laws, and policy development. He also conducts internal investigations and provides training on non-discrimination, diversity, equity, inclusion, and ethics compliance, helping clients navigate complex employment matters with confidence.
Beyond his legal practice, Patel demonstrates a strong commitment to public service, having recently been installed as a trustee of the Middlesex County Bar Association and serving on the boards of the Axelrod Performing Arts Center and Shore House in Long Branch.
