Overview
Rahool Patel is a member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group and the Education and Employment Team. He represents public and private sector employers in a wide range of employment litigation in the federal and state courts of New Jersey and New York, including defending against claims of wage and hour non-compliance, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
Rahool also counsels employers on all aspects of the employment relationship from hiring and firing, drafting employee handbooks and policies, preparing employment contracts and separation agreements, protecting proprietary information and trade secrets from misappropriation, addressing requests for leaves of absences under various federal and state laws, and other complex personnel issues. As part of his practice, Rahool conducts workplace investigations and provides workforce training on best practices related to non-discrimination, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and ethics compliance.
Rahool presently serves as a member of the New Jersey Supreme Court’s District Ethics Committee for District VIII, on the Board of the Axelrod Performing Arts Center in Deal, New Jersey, on the Board of Trustees of Shore House in Long Branch, New Jersey, and as an attorney mentor for the New Jersey Law and Education Empowerment Project (NJ LEEP).
