Porzio Counsel Richard Ploss Presented "Estate Planning for Digital Assets" to the Morris County Financial Advisors Study Group
Porzio counsel I. Richard Ploss presented to the Morris County Financial Advisors Study Group. The session, "Estate Planning for Digital Assets," took place in Morristown, NJ, on November 22, 2016.
This presentation focused on laws affecting the conservation and transmission of a client's digital assets. It also featured a discussion of how financial planners can potentially assist their clients with estate planning for this type of asset.
Mr. Ploss is a trusts and estates attorney, admitted to practice in NJ, NY, PA, FL, GA, ME, NH and MA. He is also a Certified Financial Planner™ and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA- licensed in Georgia). He also holds the Trusts and Estates Practitioner (TEP) designation as granted by the Society of Trust & Estates Practitioners (STEP) in London.
He has served as an adjunct instructor in the CFP® Certificate Programs at Boston University, Fairleigh Dickinson University, Fordham University and Georgetown University, and is also an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Maine Law School in Portland, ME.
