Overview
Perle R. Desir represents clients in complex litigation matters, bringing a strategic, business-oriented approach informed by her background in banking, real estate, regulatory, and commercial frameworks. She partners with clients to navigate disputes efficiently, focusing on protecting financial and operational interests while delivering practical, results-driven solutions.
Perle’s experience spans both judicial and corporate legal settings. She served as a judicial intern in Federal Courts to U.S. Magistrate Judge André M. Espinosa Almonte, where she gained broad exposure to civil litigation and pretrial proceedings, including drafting bench memoranda and conducting legal research across a range of federal matters. She also worked within corporate legal departments supporting markets and securities services, litigation, employment, commercial banking, real estate, wealth and private banking teams. This combination of courtroom and in-house experience allows her to assess legal issues from multiple perspectives, anticipate risk, and develop strategies aligned with client objectives.
Perle also brings an international dimension to her practice. In 2025, she contributed to work supporting the United Nations Committee Against Torture in Switzerland, conducting legal research and analysis related to international human rights obligations. This experience strengthened her ability to approach complex legal issues with analytical rigor, precision, and a global perspective.
In law school, Perle further developed her transactional and client advisory skills through the Rutgers Law School Entrepreneurship Clinic (Fall 2024), where she advised clients on business formation, entity structuring, and contractual matters. This hands-on experience sharpened her ability to translate legal concepts into practical, business-oriented guidance for clients at critical stages of growth.
Perle was an active leader within the Rutgers Law community. She served as Vice President of the Student Bar Association, Chair of the Career Services Committee, University Senator, and held dual editorial roles as a Symposium and Staff Editor for the Rutgers International Law & Human Rights Journal. She also participated in several organizations, including the Minority Student Program, the Black Law Students Association, and the Association of Latin American Law Students, reflecting her commitment to mentorship, advocacy, and professional development.
Complementing her legal experience, Perle has a strong background in finance, real estate, and entrepreneurship. She has managed real estate transactions and co-managed a trucking enterprise, gaining firsthand experience in financial analysis, deal execution, and operational decision-making. This business acumen enables her to approach legal challenges with a practical understanding of the commercial realities underlying disputes and to deliver tailored, strategic guidance to her clients.
