Porzio's David Singer to be Awarded George H. Cook Distinguished Alumni Award

4/06/2023

Porzio, Bromberg & Newman is proud to announce that Principal David J. Singer will be awarded the George H. Cook Distinguished Alumni Award from his alma mater, Cook College, now known as the Rutgers School of Environmental and Biological Science. The award ceremony will take place on April 30th at the Rutgers New Brunswick campus.

Alongside his distinguished work as part of Porzio, Bromberg & Newman’s Environmental Practice Group, David has remained active in the Rutgers community, previously serving as the President of the Cook Community Alumni Association and continuing to work with Rutgers Student Legal Services. In addition, he has sat on two alumni association boards and was inducted as a Loyal Son of Rutgers in 2013.

Established in 1976, this award has been presented annually to Rutgers Environmental alumni who have made outstanding professional and volunteer work accomplishments. The award is named after Dr. George Hammell Cook, whose work includes creating the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station and bringing Land Grant College status to Rutgers. This award is the highest honor bestowed by the alumni association to former undergraduate students.
